School Supplies Needed Community Service Committee is organizing its annual School Supply Drive for the Linkages to Learning program. Please donate pencils and pens notebook paper crayons composition books binders backpacks, etc. These supplies go to the stu-dents attending Greencastle Ele-mentary School and Benjamin Banneker Middle School. Please place the items in the back of the narthex in the box provided through the month of September. Contact Liz Cole if you have any questions at 301-890-4424. SCHOOL SUPPLIES Soup labels stilled needed T hanks to your generous saving of Campbell's product labels with the UPCs at-tached, we were able to order several items for our Sunday School program and also for Morning Star Camp (Paint, Face Paint, Mega Novelty Pack and Floam). Please feel free to continue to bring in (or send in your labels with the UPCs attached). The more labels we get, the larger the items we can order. Un-fortunately, labels without a UPC are not re-deemable. Please watch for other products like Swan-son broth, V-8 juice and Pepperidge Farm products like bread, cookies and crackers (for instance goldfish) that are also Campbell products. Look at the UPC, if you see the Campbell kid, then it is a Campbell prod-uct. For some items, like V-8 Splash, I need the cap. If you are confused, you can consult the chart near the chapel here at church, look on the Internet or call me (301-362-1001) and together we can try to figure it out. Sometimes the labels are hard to get off. If you put a wet cloth on the label for ½ hour or so, it usually loosens it up enough to get off. I did write to Campbell's about that matter. Thanks for your continuing support. Keep those labels (with the UPCs attached), coming in. There is a collection box in the Narthex and a collection container in the Li-brary. Marcy McAdoo

September   2008
Dancing Needles
w
ill resume our meetings
on Saturday, September
20, 2008.
Please think about
joining us this fall.  We sew, knit, crochet and
quilt items for the preemies at the Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Howard
County General Hospital.
We also make blankets for small aban-
doned animals at the Howard County Animal
Shelter and have started making
prayer shawls for those in need.
We
have samples, patterns, lots of yarn
and cloth if you are interested in mak-
ing any of these projects.

If you are not able to make the
Saturday monthly meetings, you can still be a
part of this group and make the items at home.
Call Liz Cole at 301-890-4424 if you have any
questions.
