Prayer Requests

Lori Anderson – undergoing radiation
Robert Barber –continues to battle cancer (Susie Barber’s father)
Brad Benefiel – major health issues, needs prayer (Louella Ertter’s son’s brother-in-law)
Cynthia Casteel – 30 year old in a motorcycle accident, broke all the bones in her body.
In very critical condition (friend of Norma Lee Graham)
Rochelle Graf – recuperating after ankle surgery
Jill Hudson – has breast cancer and is recuperating from surgery, will start other
treatment soon (friend of Dorothy & Lyonel José)
Ed Keller – in Afghanistan (Barbara Straughan’s nephew)
Bruce Knox – starting new treatments for an old condition, which are very hard on him
(Jacque Miller’s grandson’s father-in-law)
Keith Leach – needs prayers for his shoulder, is having shoulder replacement surgery in
mid-August (Judy Danaher’s big brother)
Ronald Lewis – Initial cancer treatment is no longer working. Doctors are trying to
determine what to do next. (Iris Lewis’ brother)
Jean Luckett – had quintuple bypass surgery July 18 (Tina Rosenberger’s mother)
Frieda Mace – is recuperating at home, needs continued prayers
Barbara Miller – recuperating after hip surgery, pray for complete recovery
Glenn Miller – having multiple chemo treatments every week for 4–5 months (Don Miller’s
brother)
Dot Renner – recovering at home
Sally Robbins – continuing treatments. Needs prayers. (long time friend of
Bruno & Tuulikki Heidik)
Ricardo Scartascini – please continue to pray, he had complications during his back
surgery and is now in physical therapy (Vanessa Crotzer’s father)
Franki Rene Sechler – brain tumor has returned, had brain surgery on the July 24th and
Is beginning new treatment. (Leona Rohrer’s niece)
Linda Stewardson – has an inoperative brain tumor (friend of Barbara Bergere’s daughter)
Barbara Straughan – making slow progress
Marilyn Swanson – colon surgery scheduled for August 20th
Lou Visco – just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer (friend of Marcy McAdoo)
Jack Weems – at home and undergoing physical therapy
June Whitacre – at Springbrook Adventist Nursing & Rehab, 12325 New Hampshire Ave.,
Room 127B, Silver Spring, MD 20910 443/844-7623
Brooke Whitman – 3 years old, underwent urology surgery August 6th (friend of Tina
Rosenberger)
In Iraq – Shane Smith (Karen Green Smith’s husband), Rob Kerns (Ed & Mary Herbert’s
nephew)
Please call Virginia Gilbreath (301/384-2132) or the church office (301/421-9166) with
prayer concerns, updates, or requests. When you ask for prayer for someone other than
yourself we assume you are doing so with their permission. It is also requested that
updates and/or changes to those currently on the prayer list be shared weekly, if at all
possible, with the Prayer Chain Coordinator or the church office.
