Thank you for exploring Liberty Grove United Methodist Church through these web pages. If you are a new resident, welcome to the neighborhood. Burtonsville is a great place to live, and Liberty Grove is a great place to worship and serve God.



I am an evangelical in the Methodist tradition. I believe the Bible is the word of God and the sourcebook of our faith and practice. I believe in the scriptural truths which the church through its history has considered essential to orthodox belief. I believe each of us has the privilege of experiencing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. And I believe that we are called to share God's grace with others through personal witness and acts of service. I am ecumenical in spirit and embrace all who love the Lord. My greatest joys in ministry are preaching the gospel, welcoming newcomers, and encouraging mature believers to pursue greater personal holiness and social justice.

I hope the information in these pages will encourage you to be our guest one Sunday morning. We are a warm and loving congregation, but you have to come to discover that. I would like to meet you. I pray that God will guide you as you search for a community of faith to nurture you and to challenge you.
